Cloud computing

Today I read a short English dialog.

The topic is about cloud computing.

When we talk about cloud computing. The first word I come across my mind is Google.

Because right now, I am using its cloud computing service to write this blog.

The internet technology is really developing so fast.

I can remember that there was a ASP service 15 years ago.

It was recommended by IBM, the IT giant.

ASP is the abbreviation of Application service provider.

Its ambition is to provide a software service to users instead of selling software package.

I think it is the predecessor of cloud that we are knowing now.

It was a good idea but it was not successful in business.

It was disappeared in 5 years.

But it is reactivated as a cloud service now.

I talked with others before. Why ASP was failed.

There were a lot of opinion for that.

One opinion was same, because the technology could not reach the level to support the idea succeed in  business at that time.

But it tell us one important truth.

If you have a good idea, keep to pursue it.

Even it is thought impossible now.

It would be successful some day.
